Paper flowers... Crocus

Paper flowers... Crocus

Postby Angel135612 » May 31st, 2013, 8:54 pm

I finally completed my project making crocus' out of paper and using SCAL and MTC to create a wrap for the pails I put them in. Here is one of them.

I made a blog post about how I created them if you care to check it out.

How pretty!!! I need to make those....I tried to grow crocuses and they never came up. Maybe I would have better luck with paper ones.

Thanks Ladies!!!! They were a lot of fun to make, and had I not needed to make so many of them, it wouldn't have taken me so long to get them done. LOL

The part I liked the most, was figuring out how to cover the little pails I bought at Michaels. I thought they were cute, but didn't really care for the way they looked, and they were on sale. Being able to create a cut file to cover the pail, thanks to MTC and it's conical wrap feature, made it so easy to change the look of the pails. And I thought it was easier in SCAL to add the pattern and see what different digital papers would look like on the shape. ( A great reason to have and use more than one software, since SCAL doesn't have the conical wrap feature and MTC doesn't let you preview your texture on your shape). I even went back to Michaels to get more pails for other projects I may do in the future, and bought the last of the ones they had.

Thank you everyone. I can't wait to see what the ladies of my card club have to say about them. We don't meet until the end of the month (it got pushed back from this coming Friday).
