A couple of cards

A couple of cards

Postby Elizabeth » May 31st, 2013, 7:59 am

Good Morning!

I made 4 graduation cards yesterday for friends that will be graduating with my DD next week. I used Michelle's Mojo Monday 282 file. Thanks, Michelle! I am really enjoying my Foil Master, now that I have solved my printer problem. There are foil elements on the front and inside of these cards.

The grad hat on the front is Penny's. I'm pretty sure I use Penny's files at least once a week!

And I forgot to add the second card! It is a diorama style card that I did for my DD's 18th Birthday last week. There is a basic file on my blog, if you're interested in the construction. You can alter the window shape as you like. Here is my version, again with a Penny file:

And the inside, which has the Diorama element:

Those are beautiful!! So, are you happy/sad over Naomi's 18th birthday? I'm so glad mine made it to 18 and yet sad that my little boy is growing up so fast!

Fabulous cards Elizabeth!!! And I so agree with you on the FoilMaster - am using mine a lot lately too. Just put one on my blog with another to follow in a few days.

Love both cards - thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Ladies!

Kim, I am not particularly sad about Naomi turning 18. It doesn't really change things much, as she has been trusted to do lots of things anyway, so we aren't hearing any "I am 18 and you can't stop me" stuff. (Also, she is smart, and knows who pays the bills!)

What I am going to have difficulty with is her going away to college in September. I am very excited for her, and a little bit worried for three of us that have to adjust at home.

Love the cards — I really must give the Foil Master a go; all it's doing so far is collecting dust!

Thanks, Glynnis and Ginger! I love combining embossing folders. (For the two guy cards, I used more masculine folders. )

Thanks Lisa and Michelle! I have been busy. My Cougar is really getting a work out as I prepare for graduation. I finished Naomi's card last night, and I've cut lots of decorations. I hope to find time to get more pics soon. I'm waiting for DH to hang a giant reclaimed window so that I can fill the panes with Grad silhouettes, school photos and the kids' artwork. He's waiting for special hardware to be delivered. (If it doesn't get here, he will just screw it to the wall. It will be harder to wash the window, but honestly, I won't be doing that until the next party anyway! :hide: )
