Flower Card - I made

Flower Card - I made

Postby Retta » May 30th, 2011, 5:48 pm

I made some of this made with inspiration from this card

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/galle ... 71?cat=fav

I don't think it is as pretty as the one she made. But I'm happy with it.

I used some of my own files to make thsi card and used Penny Duncan's roses. (I didn't have the watercolor paper to make this.) I used textured cardstock, and sailor glue to make these roses. I used a partial cupcake holder to add to the top of the flower pot that I made. The leaves are from my own cutting files, from some clipart. The butterfly is not mine it is from a free one I received.

There are two pictures of the card - one with the pull out showing.
There is a close up of one of the flowers. Thanks Penny for the tutorial, I've drawn roses, but not made these 3D ones before.

Hope you like it. Thanks for looking. I'm thinking of adding a couple of little butterflies!

Thanks everyone. I am not a card maker. I do scrapbooks and altered art. This was fun and for once I'm not embarassed about the card. Mine end up looking so childish. I don't know why - if you only saw my other work you would laugh at me like my friends do. Thanks.
