I GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dawn fixed the file for me (LOVE YOU DAWN) and it's engraving. Been going for about 2 hours now and says it has over an hour to go. Quick questions. Should i have double cut? I usually do but I was scared it would take way long with such a huge file and I didn't want to mess up my cougar. It looks like a double cut will take around 6 hours. Would that be alright?

Angel it just starts at the top on mine everytime . I didn't know that when I asked because I hadn't cut from sign cut before so I am good there.

Yeah it looks great!!!!!!!! I'm so excited!!!!!! I used 600 velocity and 200 force and it engraved beautifully!!!!!!!! That's the difference though the size. I thought you said 6 hours and mine was only taking 3 so I thought maybe I needed to double cut. Mine is only 5*7 though so that is why it didn't take as long!!!!! I guess we are good running the machines that long but I didn't know if you guys were pausing and letting it rest or not. Mine just finished though and it did wonderfully and I never stopped it. It ran a solid 3 hours 2 minutes without missing a beat!!!!!!!

Thanks Penny and thank you so much for sharing the frame. I'm going to have to figure out this eggbot stuff and yes Tyler I'd love that!!!!!! Maybe we can cover it in the next webinar?

I probably should have done that first but it's a little late now.LOL I don't know if I"ll use the rub n buff or tim hotlz inks yet but I"ll upload when I have it finished!!!!!

Thanks again Penny for sharing. Love ya girl!!!!!!!

Dawn -

Can you "fill us in" [pun intended..hahahaha] on what you did or what was necessary in fixing Christy's file - so we can learn from you? That is really pretty. I hope my husband starts making serious money soon so I can start serious shopping again!!

I selected the text that wasn't working and copied it, then deleted the text, opened a new doc and used paste in place.
Christy didn't have an outline left for the text so I manually drew the letters, but you could just type them in instead. Delected the original letters with the fill.
Then I was lazy and just used the Eggbot to fill the new letters.
Then copied it again and returned to the original doc and used Paste in place.
Dead easy!

Dawn thanks so much, so christy's problems was with the text (letters) not having an outline...if we wanted to make letters on that design that originated with Penny, how can we avoid the mistake that Christy did - simply type the letters and make a fill via Tyler's method and eggbot?

I appreciate the tip. It may be quite a while before I can do engraving, as my first goal is the small detail holder, but the engraving tip is a very close second!

No, the letters would have had an outline originally. I am not sure what the problem was, I couldn't figure it out which was why I choose to replace it.
Yes using eggbot makes it very easy!
