USB 2 ports are grey, USB 3 are blue. Also make sure you have the right plug in for your computer. And make sure it is the one installed in AI. And you may have to run it as admin.

usb 3 ports should be backwards compatible with a device that is 2.0. It just won't operate at 3.0 speed. At least, this was my experience with 2.0 ---1.0.

So am I Elizabeth I I keep forgetting the reset. Once MTC could cut I knew keyspan worked. It turned out to be the plug-in for adobe Illustrator.. You do have to freak if it isn't working. What a relief to get Dawn's help! By the way , Hope you are doing well! Hugs Honey!
