I have been Working all day! I got it to look like it Was Working - Now not even that!

Facts:
New Windows 7 64 bit Comp-
Got opgraded driver - Blackcat Ā¢ Keyspan
Got software upgrade also - Signcut.
Cuttinq from AI to Signcut- AI v.6.o
using Chrome
plugs are in! UsB lN. _ Don't know if all USB are 2.0 or only 2 are. Don't know how to tell

Lost Mind eons ago! Missing Cuttinq With CAT! WHAAAAA!

Oh Retta.....frustrating...so sorry I'm not going to be of any help...as I don't use Illustrator or Signcut (any longer)....have you contacted Dawn...perhaps she can give you some insight as she uses signcut alot........I wish you luck ma'am..I know how frustrating that is... ;(

thanks Penny, I fiqured@Thyme would read tnis if she Were not busy. I know She just lost her father.

I just had some time to cu t and was excited. I have done everything I can think of to do this! Thank you for stopinq by.

Do you mean you can't find the option to cut with the Cat?
If so look for Thyme Graphics under Manufacturers and then your cutter under Cutters

Check to see if your output port has changed, in Signcut/cutter/output device.

Click on the Cutter button
Is your handshake set to Software Xon/Xoff?
Have you got the correct port showing?
Is your baud rate 38400?

Did you say something about USB 2.0 and 3.0?
I have Both but don't know which is which?

my keyspan is on Com 3 and that is what it is on. Is that what you mean?

Yes that is what I meant.
Are your other settings correct?
You may need to use a USB 2 port
Have you done a factory reset of the cutter?

tell me how to do the reset. As for as I_ can tell, Other settings are right.

How do you tell if a 2.0 port or not?

Switch the cutter off.
Hold down the origin button
Switch the cutter on and keep the origin button held down until the LCD screen reads reset.
I don't use a windows 8 computer so don't know, I would imagine it will tell you what ports are what in the manual

I went from AI to signcut. Sent to cutter never moved.
