Hey, Peeps. I had this problem before, but I can't remember the solution! Ugh!
Signcut is doing two passes on cutting my vinyl. I have it on one pass. Of course, my dad wants me to cut something out for him and I ran out of time! Fondly, Tami

Do you have both fill and stroke in your design? If so it will cut both of then so you need to either remove one or turn it off

Dawn, fill and stroke in the inkscape design? I can't find a fill and stroke in Signcut. Tami

Yes in Inkscape.
In signcut a filled shape will be a solid square in the colour bar on the right side and a stroke will be a square with a diagonal line through it

OK, I think I get it. I haven't cut it yet, but I animated it and it's only doing one pass. I'll remember for the next time.
Also, would that explain why when I tried to use a detailed weeding line, that the line went THROUGH the lettering?
If so, that should have been my clue.

No that wouldn't explain a weeding line going through a letter. That would only happen if you used the wrong weeding lines or if you think you have a closed shape that isn't closed
