inkscape version?

inkscape version?

Postby pigtailpat » June 12th, 2011, 2:08 pm

Is ver. 47 still the favored version for the inkscape-signcut combination to cut to the cougar? Or has .48 finally stabilized enough to be used?

I just uninstalled .46, which was the ver I had previously installed. I have a little time until I have to start the sunday dinner, so I figured to take a look at inkscape today.

I haven't seen Dawn tell us yet we can use .48. I know people have used it, but I have stuck with .47

Signcut has not officially upgraded to .48, so .47 should work great for now!

thanks guys..I will then install .47. For a long time, .47 had quirks with .mtc, and so many people advised on using .46, so that was why I had .46. Before I had illustrator, I was dependent on inkscape .46 for file conversions. I have not touched inkscape in eons, so I will give it a go.

Funny you say that - I am in the same boat. I love illustrator for somethings, but Inkscape has some other stuff that I like as well - one of them being that it is opensource and allows for many other extensions than illustrator!

Pat, the reason there was quirks was because they release it while still working on it. Then it has to received a certain grade point system, then theymake it the finalized version. It is pretty interesting going thru the process. Dawn will let everyone know when .48 can be used.
