Using Signcut and configuring PNC

I'm trying to go through the tutorial that was posted on the BC UK forum to calibrate my cutter. I have the file printed, opened in signcut and when click on Simple Contour Cutting, I can't move my blade on the machine with the arrow keys on the computer. It will change the numbers, but my machine won't budge. I have tried Offline, Online, and it doesn't work in either case. Am I missing something? I would love to be able to test PnC before my trial of Signcut expires in a week.

Your machine needs to be online. Make sure you can cut out a regular shape first. If you can communicate when you are cutting regularly, you should be able to do print and cut.

When the pop up window with the arrows first appears hit the up key immediately and tell us if that gets a response
