Postby pabloezeta » October 1st, 2012, 10:27 pm

Hello all, I need help, IĀ“m new to this, just got a Blackcat Lynx 12", bought Signcut-pro lifetime software with dongle, have an iMac with OS X 10.6.8, I think I have installed all the necessary drivers, but when I click on the scissors to start a job absolutely nothing happens. DonĀ“t know what to do, IĀ“ll appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Is your machine online? That is what most new people forget to check when they try to cut.

Hey Pablo.......I KNOW you will find the assistance you need here as soon as they come to the forum.......Like I shared with you on the Facebook page...I don't own a MAC so I won't be much help.....but let me mention one thing that just came to my head.....Did by chance to remember to install the plugin into whichever graphic program you're using in conjunction with Signcut Pro??????

Hi Pablo.
In Signcut click on the4 big button that says Cutter. The third dropdown on the left side is the Output Device/Port - what does it say?
Also try a factory reset of the cutter

Hi Pablo,

Check that you have installed the driver found here. There are two different drivers for Mac - one for older versions of OSX and one for newer:

Like Dawn (Thyme) said, also make sure that you have the settings set up correctly in SignCut. After your have installed the driver, plug the machine into the computer and open up SignCut. Click the Cutter Button and adjust your settings accordingly. Here is a picture from SignCut Pro (running Mtn Lion) to help with the settings. Good luck!

I have install Sign Cut in a PC with OS Windows XP and worked perfectly! But the problem is that I need to work in the MAC OS 10.6.8 and I need to work with Sign Cut because I allready pay the full lifetime version.
Do you have contacts with them? I need to have a solution with this software bug.

Please can you introduce me to some contact in Sign Cut? Its simple when you press to cut (when I click on the scissors to start a job) absolutely nothing happens.

IĀ“ll appreciate any help.

Thanks!

It may be that you need a keyspan cable to run the Lynx with a Mac computer. It depends on which chip it has.
When you have the cutter connected to Windows, go too your device manager and then to ports.
Right click on the port your cutter is on and choose properties.
Please tell me what driver is being used on that port - click on the driver tab in the pop up window and look for driver provider
