Weird Sign Cut problem

Dawn or Tyler or anyone. I was working on a large project a 36" cat in the hat. The pieces I that were being cut though were never more than 18" long at the most. Here is the problem and of course I am at work so I can show a picture. But when I cut the longest pieces which were around 18" long. On the sign cut page it showed my layout and after about 12" it had a dotted line from top to bottom where it cut the rest of the original piece. I had it set so when it cut it wouldn't cut this across the width because I have a 13" machine but for the length. Has anyone had that problem. Plus I have sign cut pro.

Two things i can think of straight away.
First is that you had your template the wrong way,did you try rotating it 90 degrees?
Second is that you have accidentally set a media length in Signcut that is too small.
Can you take a screenshot of your Signcut window and either attach it here or email it to me so i can take a look?

Yes I will thank you but I will send it in the morning so I don't wake you.

HEre is a snip, but when I opened in signcut I changed the cutter size and the lines went away. I never knew you could or needed to change those. Wow I need a major signcut course. Thanks for the help

Hi Suzan -

If I understood it correctly, rotate your image 90 degrees. Since you are cutting in portrait mode, it is trying to tile your image to adjust for a larger than 13 inch image. That should fix it up for ya.

Thanks Tyler, all the rotating and how it turns when you cut always confuses me. But I understand now. I think.
