Can Cut be set to automatically cut a second time?

Can Cut be set to automatically cut a second time?

Postby lindalou » August 8th, 2011, 3:31 pm

Can you automatically set signcut to cut around the same image a second time.

In Tyler's tutorial he says that if you click the "repeat" button when in the offline position that it will repeat the
last cut. I tried that but it repeats the last cut in a different position.

Suppose I want to cut something on a lower pressure but want to go around it twice. How do I get it back to
the exact point of the first cut? Does that make sense?

If you click on the scissors icon to get the cutting window up, then click on the advanced tab. Near the bottom is the option for number of passes, just set this to two. Its much better to do that rather than to repeat the cut because this way it will cut each section twice before moving on to the next part

I thought it might do that somewhere.

I like that way better too.

Thanks, Thyme

Hope you not sick of me yet!!

WHEW!!!

Sometimes I get so baffled, the obvious can be sitting right on my nose and I don't see.

Dawn must really have the gift of patience!

She does - just ask her how many times she has to explain things to me!!!

And sometimes the things right in front of us are the most difficult to see!!

In signcut, you need to make sure it is not advancing after cut for the repeat to cut in the same spot. If you do that, it resets the origin of the machine. Great for long vinyl pieces. Pain for having to cut twice!

Also, you need to make sure you don't press the origin button and change the origin - I've done that once or twice!
