.mtc----------->inkscape

if I do a copy from .mtc------------->to paste to inkscape will it paste as vectors or as a raster image?

I ask because I tried a copy/paste from illustrator to inkscape and it pasted in as a raster image that way. I have not done much inkscape<----------->.mtc work, and because the day is starting and have to get started, have no time to play now..
