For those of you that use the latest version of Make The Cut!™, Lettering Delights has released some Open Path Fonts (.opf) as Thin Fonts and Sketches. These fonts are true single line (open path) fonts that can be used in MTC 4.0 or higher. You can find out more information from Lettering Delights here. Also, Jin from Under a Cherry Tree has some great information as well on her blog at http://underacherrytree.blogspot.com/20 ... fonts.html

Up until this point, there have only been a handful of .opf fonts available (there were 5 available when MTC 4.0 was released, and Tyler has made at least one). Hopefully, we will start seeing more of these type fonts. This opens up many new options for your crafting projects.

Need to change the title of this discussion. :whip: "NOT" made me think that the fonts on LD were not usable. So glad that they are good and that we are starting to see more OTF.

Yes, I think he meant to say "NOW".

:ROFLMBO: :ROFLMBO: :ROFLMBO: Thanks Tyler!!! I am going to have to get my pen tool out and play with it this weekend!!! I haven't done that in a while. This is so exciting that we are starting to get more OTF to choose from.

Thanks for fixing the title Tyler!

These are OPF (Open Path Fonts - new with MTC 4.0) fonts, and are not the same as OTF (Open Type Fonts) which have been around for a while. You can use .ttf and .opf in many programs. You can use .opf only in MTC (at least for now). So don't get OPF confused with OTF!

They are very useful if you do a lot of penmanship with your machine.

I went ahead and bought these since I could get them at 50% off but honestly I don't use MTC much anymore, but I'll have them if Andy ever releases the Mac version of MTC. SBryanW, do you know if this is still going to happen?

He currently has a beta version of MTC for the Mac. If you want to try that, just send an email to support at make-the-cut.com and ask for the link.

Okay, I finally sent the email to Ann at MTC support to see if I could try out the Beta of the MAC version with my MTC. I'll let you guys know if they let me give it a try and how I get it to work with my Cougar if at all!

Thanks Bryan!

I'll be watching to see if this works. Hopefully, this isn't using Wine, I'm hoping for a REAL Mac version, I've been those other routes before.
