Black Cat shows "cutting" on LCD screen, but it does not cut

I appreciate any help I can get. I press the test button and it works. However, after doing the USB port process and updates, the Black cat does not cut even though the LCD screen shows "cutting." What can I do?

Make sure that the machine is not paused, offline. It will do that if you take it offline (to set origin) and forget to put it back online.
