I am trying to so a print and cut with SCAL, I had a software update from SCAL that I did install, now when i go to cut, there is an error message that cannot find my cutter. please advise.

Have you checked your USB comport has'nt changed?

Yes, I tried switching to a different USB port thinking I was in the wrong one, no change. I also restarted the machine and the computer under each USB port. I used the machine less than 1 month ago with no issues at all.

any other suggestions?

Hey dbvjs1014.......Have you checked the comm port to make sure it's reading the proper port...and also you might try installing the drivers again for the machine within the software.......perhaps that might help???

If you are using windows computer go into your device manager look at the comm ports choose the one that says usb port, right click on it , go to properies and check your BAUD is 3800 and your flow control is xonxoff.

And then note the port number and check that is the one being used in your software

thank you everyone. The comm port number and the software port number were different, once i switched to comm port number on the software to match the device manager all is working again.
