Pen question.................

Postby pigtailpat » June 30th, 2015, 7:16 am

I need to mark fabric and the best permanent pen for fabric seems to be the sharpie stained pen, which is a non-fading permanent ink intended for fabric.

BUT...........

the tip is a brush tip, not a hard point. Do you guys think this will work well in the cougar? I need to pen words on fabric (muslin), and thereafter cut. I could go to the regular pen sharpies, but sharpie really recommended this pen when used on fabric. I WANT the ink to remain in the fabric in this instance, not fade or wash out.

The other alternative is to create a stencil, and then manually go over the stencil with the pen, but it would be much easier if I can directly use the pen in the plotter.

Hey pigtailpat I would set your force at like 5 and test it out you would just want it the glide across the top of the fabric if that makes sense. . .
