lynx cutting issue

Postby peoriagrammy » August 31st, 2014, 7:24 pm

Hi everyone,
My lynx is feeling contankerous! I set the origin and push the online button, I click on start on the cutting program. The "arm" goes to the far right side of the machine and makes a loud noise. I does not begin cutting. I let the machine cool down (even tho I'd only cut one item) and disconnected the cords and reconnected everything. Any suggestions? TIA

Do you perhaps have a shape outside the cutting area? You can usually tell if you "select all" and your bounding box gets really big. Hopefully it's as easy as deleting the wayward shape.
Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Was thinking the same thing Elizabeth -

Have you rebooted your computer lately? Sometimes that will fix all things! :banghead:

Thanks again, ladies. Rebooting the computer did the trick. I'll have to add it to my list of tips and tricks! I was cutting the same pattern 14 times and had to back out of the program each time for it to cut correctly, though. Wonder what's going on...never had to do that before.

Maybe it's a memory issue with the computer? Is that possible?
