MY PRINT AND CUT JOURNEY WITH RESULTS USING MTC AND COUGAR

Postby JensMom » April 19th, 2013, 12:29 pm

I hope this helps someone, I know part of the problem is when you get the machine, you can't even figure out what buttons do what and when the machine spits out the mat, it's so frustrating :banghead: I spent a long time figuring this out and realized that part of the issue is the tutorials (at least for me) are not all in the same place and then to make it worse, we don't know our machines and what does what, sooooooooo I made this cheat sheet and hope it will help someone. Hugs. I am also attaching my results which I think are really good. I spent hours and hours on this with a lot of help from members here and at MTC, THANK YOU ALL!!!!! One of the issues was orientation, what is up, what is down, what is left, what is right, so I made a diagram that shows the exact placement of the paper on the mat and where the laser goes etc. Hope this helps someone.

Marni, I too had the same issues when I first tried to do PnC, and that is one of the reasons I ended up putting it off until I was more familiar with my machine. I think we all tend to try to do EVERYTHING the moment we get these machines, and forget that there is a learning curve to them.
I'm so glad you finally got the results you are looking for, and you can now do anything PnC with your machine. Thank you for taking the time to write up the "cheat sheet" for those that come after you!!!

Thanks everyone, I hope it helps someone, at least it would help someone if they are totally lost and don't know the buttons do different things, this kind of walks your through and with the diagram the mat placement and the image and the paper etc. I have made myself 8 copies of this thing, I KNOW I will forget LOL

so glad you were able to get it! Isn't PNC just great? Mine was easy to set up, but I had gone through it before with my Cougar, although I did it all wrong and really made it harder on myself, but I did get good results. The way that Rob and Tyler have it, it is so much easier.
