Buttons on Cougar hard to work

Buttons on Cougar hard to work

Postby tamihowse » November 25th, 2012, 12:13 am

This question is mainly for Sherri or Dawn, but I thought I'd post it in case someone else has the same problem.
When I try to zero out my machine (using the "crosshair" button), I have to press it many times before I can get it to zero. The same thing happens when I want to switch from offline to online (or vice versa). I think it's because the panel is loose. I surmise that because if I support the panel underneath with one hand, and press the buttons with the other hand, it works almost right away.
My question is, should I go ahead and tighten the screws underneath? Normally, I would be adventurous, but I don't want to break or ruin anything.
Fondly, Tami

Yes, try tightening the screws, just do it slowly and gently though. Don't overtighten it, just enough so that the screws are firm

Did this solve the problem? I ask because my Cougar is like this (but the panel isn't loose). It's been this way ever since I bought it (new) and I thought it was just supposed to be that way :). Well... first I thought it was because it was new and that, with time, the buttons would have instant response, but that never happened.

Hello, I am wondering if anyone has found a fit to the problem? I've had issues with my off/line/online button not working. It takes several minutes of me pushing the button for it to work and now I can 't get online at all>> ugh :(
My panel is not loose and all of the other buttons work....
Thanks for any input :)

Hummm....I would send Sherri and email and let her know the issue you're having....as she does not always get the opportunity to come to the forum you would get a quicker response from her by emailing her directly.......

I have a exact same problem (offline button not working). What is the solution? Should I send an email to Sherri?

Yes - emailing Sherri would be the best thing to do.

However- my buttons work beautifully, I am still not able to get my 24" Black Cat online.

I've reset my machine, shut down my computer, etc and I can not get online? ugh!
Any suggestions? thanks!

When you say you are trying to get online, do you mean that it won't say that in the LCD?
If so, then you need to know that although the Silver Bullets say Online when they are online, the Black Cats simply say Black Cat when they are online.
Hope that makes sense
