cutter not communicating with software

No doubt at all about that Gigi, we all know how frustrating it gets when we can't get something working. Especially when it is new to us. It was just an idea that was meant to be helpful. I know that I have to run the keyspan because my computer is so new and it works in reverse. Older software communicating from new computer and new machine. I really want my old computer back. Don't want or like the new one. LOL. AT ALL.

My Bryan does think it has something to do with an update from windows that is doing this crazy nonsense to me. And I have to contact different places to report it. Oh the joy.

I 100 % wasn't saying anything negative about Sherri, she always does what is right. I didn't know the history behind the machine. So sorry didn't mean to step on toes.

Never meant it against you or anyone, Suzan. I know everyone was trying to help. And I loved my Keyspan - I still use one for an embroidery machine I have!!

I agree with you - I think it's a glitch in SCAL because it has worked and not worked,or it's a windows thing - but definitely software. The only thing I could pretty much rule out from my limited experience was the keyspan!

And I only mentioned Sherri because she doesn't stop until she gets it fixed. I think this probably may be beyond all of us, even though we all want to make it better now!!

I love how everyone chimes in and tries to help - no offense meant at all.

OMG no - I don't get upset that easily!!

I think that is what we all want - for her to join the cutting craziness and be having as much fun as we all are. Know it will get worked out soon!

I cannot figure out how to make a new post on this forum -

The KNK plug in is not installing into my scut3 program. I am trying to calibrate - can anyone help me?

Your post worked.

I assume you are talking about SCAL? It will find your black cat cutter - you do not need to install a KNK plug in (that is just for MTC) Be sure you have the latest version of SCAL which I think you do after working with Tyler yesterday.

If I am misunderstanding what you need, just post again - it will get worked out

Be sure you have the 3.031 update. He missed it on one of the updates but it was corrected in 3.031.

That will cure the problem and frustration - I hope.

Got the machine back today. I sent Linda a 15" machine in place of it. I hooked it up and it took right off. We DEFINATELY have an issue with communication after all of this. We will be working on it with Brandon. I just want to make everyone aware that we are working on a solution to the problem and to THANK every single person that has jumped in to help try to solve this. There are several people in UK having the same issue and Brandon got them going. He has said if he figures it out it will be a permanent fix..so let's hope that is soon. It worked before I sent it to her, it did not work on her computer and opened right up and cut with mine. We thought it could perhaps be that I was running 32 bit vs. 64 bit so I also went out and bought a 64 bit windows 7 laptop I truly did not need to no avail...LOL I will keep you all posted when we get a fix. This can also happen if you load a new computer with the software.

PLEASE if anyone seems to be haing this same issue refer them to me or this area so they understand.
