hmmm didn't realize I posted in the black cat.

So I put the cable back in the square slot last night. When I originally started the project I had issues with the roll sliding so had cut the vinyl in the size I needed it and put it on the mat. Yes I probably need a new mat.

Last night I recheck the blade (already a new one), use the setting pad for depth, made sure it was tight and went back to the roll.
No dragging.

So all is well for now.

Glad things are working well now. And one more thing to keep in mind - just because you are using a new blade it is always worth checking because occasionally a new blade can be damaged. It doesn't happen very often, but it can. Just one more thing to check and cross off the list! :)

Sometimes it's just a matter of starting over from the beginning and checking each component.

Please keep us posted and let us know if you have other issues. Hope things are on the right track for you now.
