Can you cut from MTC and Signcut?

Okay so yesterday I got frustrated with the MTC issue, so I installed Inkscape and Signcut. So I followed the directions in the manual for the MAC, and it works... (I cut the mat, but oh well...stuff happens ).

Now comes the dumb question...I had the cutter on the hub in the front, but decided that I should connect it to the USB in the back of the MAC, so I wouldn't have to unplug it all the time...makes sense right?

Well now when I go to MTC it can't find the cutter and I have 100 choices for the port...so how can I point MTC to the right port?

Sorry to be such a pest lately...but I'm really trying

Tia, I know for my machines I always use the same USB port. When I've accidently plugged it in the one below the one I use, the machine won't cut. I think if you want to change which port you use, you may have to reinstall the driver so it picks up the new port. I'm not totally sure though, so hopefully someone can confirm this or suggest a different way.

LOL Jeannette...I put TIA as in "thanks in advance" hehehe....I just want to make sure because if I reinstall drivers for MTC will it overide the drivers for signcut on the MAC side...oy I'm so confused...

At least the quilting machine I can run....

I don't think they would override because the MTC drivers are native to the software.

If you look in your device manager for the port it will then be the same number in MTC

Reinstalled drivers...nupe didn't work....I'm trying to get MTC to find the correct port but no luck so far....I'll keep plugging at it....

I did it!!!! finally...I knew it was something stupid...on the parallels menu I had to activate the device...jumping jeepers...took me long enough...where is the *DUH* emoticon...
