Where is the stop button?

Where is the stop button?

Postby belfry11 » August 6th, 2011, 10:42 pm

When I see that my Cougar is cutting the design in the wrong place ( I am still learning placement), my immediate reaction is to hit the pause button, but I do not want to pause, I want to stop. Where is the stop button? Please do not tell me that I have to turn the machine on then off again. Turning the machine on and off so often, over and over again can not be good for the machine.

There is a reset button on the back of the machine... (I hear it is red, but I don't use it myself and haven't looked for it, too hard for me to reach it) If I'm cutting in the wrong place, I just hit pause, then turn the machine off, and back on. According to Dawn, it is okay to do that. The only way to stop cutting is to pause and hit the reset button or turn it off and back on... no other stop button.

You can hit pause and the reset if you want to start over - is that what you mean? The reset button is a red button on the right inside of the machine behind the blade holder housing. (when you reset it's like erasing the information that you just sent so you can do whatever you need to do and try again.

Does that help? If not lmk,

or you can just shut it off. Pause is quick to hit though and then you can reach behind as gigi says and hit the rest. I use to just turn mine off all the time and now I just pause and hit reset.
