Forum Challenge – Oct. 1 2013

Postby MichelleMyBelle » October 1st, 2013, 12:13 pm

Our Challenge Sponsor ScrappyDew Creations. The prize, a pattern file of your choice from the ScrappyDew Store.

Challenge - Holiday Light

Take any Wall Sconce or Decorative Jar and create a Halloween or Fall themed light. This project uses the same idea as the Glittered Ornaments. Tutorial Link and project photo example below (not my project photo). You can find some nice glass at the Dollar Store. If you don't have any vinyl try substituting some contact paper.

Tutorial

Supplies Needed:
Vinyl
Battery Candles or Led Lights
Wall Sconce or Decorative Jar
Fine Glitter – Chrystal or White may work best for this project (have not attempted this as of yet).
Floor Wax – Ex. Pledge Floor Care Multi Surface Finish.
Additional Embellishments (not required) Ribbon, Bows, Bling etc.

You will have until October 15th to complete the challenge. Please post your completed project in this thread.

Have any questions, just holler. :)

I'm not home right now, but I did a Halloween one and will post pics from my PC as soon as I can get back. ;)

Mine is a candle holder instead of a jar or wall sconce.

Penny, no you can do a Fall. I guess any theme would be fine. I just went with the upcoming holidays. ;)
