Well $%^&*(. I had my reply all typed out and the website timed out on me and now it's gone!

We don't do porta-potties either. They stink! We camp in state parks and usually near the restrooms. While they are definitely not as nice as your own home, they are brick and mortor buildings with bathroom stalls and separate showers. We bought ourselves all new camping gear for Christmas in 2011. New big tent with two rooms and screened in porch and an electric fan, oversized cots from Bass Pro, plush sleeping bags, Thermasrest Luxury air mattresses, zero gravity loungers, pop up shelters, the whole nine yards. DH even built me a camp kitchen that collapses down into 2 boxes. It sets up into a big L-shaped kitchen complete with coleman type stove and real gas oven. We have Christmas lights strung around for lighting. While we enjoy Sirius Satellite radio. This is definitely NOT roughing it. LOL I've heard the term "glamping" applied before.
Thanks!

That I might be able to handle as long as the set up/tear down is not to bad. We camped in a tent trailer as kids growing up and I like that. But in college, I spent a summer in a tent (pup tent) with a very large tent-mate and that pretty well cured me of the desire to sleep in a tent. What you describe sounds very different!

Sounds like my kind of camping!!! When we were growing up and camping in Europe, parents went to the Canadian base and bought a fancy tent that had two bedroom, "windows and curtains" and a living area. The US tents were still the old style one big room tent. No bathroom but still not completely roughing it. Maybe when we retire, we can get one of those fancy RV's and travel around. But I guess that will depend on gas prices. :ROFLMBO: :ROFLMBO: :ROFLMBO:

DH and I both grew up camping, and started tenting soon after we got married. We kept moving up to bigger and bigger campers, and have a 30 foot trailer, with all of the amenities. Now we are back to tent camping, either modern camping with oldest DD at Fife and Drum Musters or in 18th century canvas tents as reenactors. DH and youngest DD are tenting tonight at the first event of the year.

Sherri, that Kayak is gorgeous!

Thanks Elizabeth! I'll pass that along to DH.

I'll have to download some of the camping photos and post them. We're really spoiled and not roughing it at all. LOL
Thanks!

Stunning, Retta! I did try one of the white on white for a "Get Well" kind of card for my SIL. Love the one you did. I want to try some more, but I am mixing up her cards. She has Stage 4 Lung Cancer. At the time I made it, my camera battery wasn't charged and I wanted to get it out ASAP so I didn't get a pic. The butterfly one I did last week is one I will send her. I love the teapot one too. That doily.....is totally awesome!

These are beautiful Retta - really lovely.

Circumstances prevented me from getting an opportunity to participate, perhaps another time! Loved what everyone did that I've seen, well done!

Thank you so much everyone. Kim I'm sure your sister-in-law will appreciate the encouragement you send in those beautiful cards.

The Love Card is good in white on white I think. The teapot one needs color and it has some other pieces I see in and old English rose pattern. The doily was fun to accomplish and had to be weeded or all the little pieces taken off. That took awhile. But was fun. It amazes me how small we can cut. Some of those cuts are extremely tiny.

Elizabeth, the challenged helped me get some cuts done I needed to do.

It has been fun seeing all your work and craftiness!! Please keep playing!!! Thanks for your encouragement.
