What an awesome experience I had yesterday visiting with Dylan and his family. When I say awesome, I mean that I was in such awe of this entire family and their positive attitude, their faith, and their humility. His mother, Mandy, is one exceptionally amazing woman. Dylan was adorable and when I showed him his cards, he got so excited and immediately started ordering his siblings to "get me a bag to put the ones I have read in" and "get me another bag to put envelopes in" and "Mom, come sit by me to help me". He was so cute reading and smiling and giggling at some of the jokes! I think his mother was just as excited as he was! She wanted me to thank all of you from the bottom of her heart that you would take the time to make these cards and share them with her son. She is fully aware that she will lose a child, but it's the little things that people are doing now that mean so much to her and Dylan. I was there for about an hour and a half and immediately felt like I was just part of the family. Even while I was there, Dylan had a couple of spats with siblings. Yes, they are just a normal family dealing with a huge situation for them. Maxine, he LOVED the zebra notebook. He oohed and ahhhed over the spinner card and stand-up cards from Lindacrew, as well as the album she made where they could put pictures and notes; he got very excited about Ann's robot card, and Klee, he almost screamed when he saw the basketball card you made he was so excited! Often when he would take out a new card I would hear, "Whoa, look at this!" His mom would point out where each card came from and they both got so excited when it was from another state, but even more excited when they realized it came from another country! Ladida, his mom fell in love with your little Holland girl card. His sisters were just as excited and Mandy had to keep asking them to stop looking at the cards before Dylan got a chance to!

I don't mean to exclude anyone because he was very excited about all of them and had some comment for each one but I was so busy talking to Mandy, I didn't hear all of them! Sorry! All I can say is he was VERY excited and happy. He and his mom kept saying it was just like Christmas! They have a large home and said that they were going to set cards up everywhere just so they could see them wherever they went in the house.

Thank you all for giving me this opportunity to take the cards to Dylan. I can tell you it was an experience I will never forget. I will never forget the sweet and loving spirit I felt in that home and will NEVER forget the strength that Mandy has and the love she has for her little boy.

I tried to resize these pictures. I hope it worked. Also, it was difficult to get pictures of him opening the cards because his sister was always standing right in front of him. So I am posting what I got. Sorry. Also, sorry this is so long!
