Here is my rather project born out of frustration with the tissue paper. Lisa kept saying I could do it - but we won't talk about how much tissue paper it took to get this one little snowflake!!! :banghead: :ROFLMBO: :ROFLMBO: :banghead:

Now that I know to be sure the blade is TIGHTENED in the blade holder (have been using the click blade for so long I forgot)I might have more success in the future!!

Ooooooh! That is really pretty. I love snowflakes. (Even the real ones, as long as I don't have to plow or shovel!)

Thanks, Lisa. I raided DD's bedroom for the "vase". She has a pretty nifty little collection of antique bottles.

Thanks guys - but I am still in awe of Elizabeth's roses. They are spectacular. Dud you use coffee filters, Elizabeth? Don't remember seeing what material you used but whatever it is, they are stunning!

Yes, I used the same Melitta coffee filters that Penny used. They cut really easily with the fabric blade and a very recently Renu'd mat.

I painted the different parts with Distress Reinkers.

Looking Great Ladies!!!! Lisa, that tissue paper just has my mind boggled. The roses I would love to try. I don't have a fabric blade!!! I will have to see what I can do. But you have to have one of those for the contest. Great job Gigi for hanging in there and the pretty snowflake. Elizabeth the colors are great and they look wonderful too.

The roses and the snowflake are beautiful! I want to join in, but dh and I do not drink coffee, so do I go out and buy filters just for this? And the tissue paper one just boggles my brain. Really, I can tissue paper???? I am definitely intrigued by that. I bought a fabric blade when I first got my cougar, but have never used it. So, I was happy to see this blog hop hoping it would finally challenge me to use it. We shall see......

can't wait to see what you come up with CeCe ;), and yes...you can get the cheap coffee filters from the dollar store! I cut Penny's roses from the tissue as well, it's just not sturdy enough to really make a dimensional rose...LOL

Lisa, I wonder if you could use Stiffy to stiffen it a tad to shape the roses? Just an idea. Or, would Stiffy just make it disintegrate?

 Ummmmm...sounds like I use a lot of toilet paper...or that I sit on the "throne" a lot...you guys are killing me!! LOL :ROFLMBO: :ROFLMBO: :ROFLMBO:

The TP rose is in the trash...I kinda mushed it when trying to form it :? So it's not such a pretty thing. May try to cut one and try assembling it a little differently ;)
