Thanks everyone. I won't be around tomorrow to play. I have to go to KC with friends to the doctor who took off the husbands basal cell carcinoma. It was near his corner of his eye and had spread to the lid. Tomorrow he finds out if it is in his orbital space and if it is he has to have radiation which means he will lose his eye. What started out as no big deal is now one. He will have too have reconstructive surgery also. So......check your bods people and go to the doctor if you find anything wierd. Pray for us, she is driving and usually does not do the driving in big cities. He can't drive because he can't see (can't wear his glasses at all yet), and I don't drive on the highway. What a group LOL.

I will be thinking of you and your friends tomorrow Sheri. Hope all goes well. (You can tell your friend that my boss, who is also a dear friend of my family, lost his eye in an accident 3 years ago. It was very traumatic, but since his recovery, it has not slowed him down in the least.)

Thanks for the prayers and well-wishes for tomorrow. We will need it. We are going to have printed maps and driving directions, a gps, and my tablet with maps and an assistant on it that can map ( i just hope i don't need a connection for it, probably do, we will see).

kim. Angry birds is a game you play on your smart phone or tablet. It is addictive, but so much fun. That was the first app I downloaded when I got my smartphone. I also have it on my iPad. It is a great way to pass the time when you are sitting in the airport,or just want to veg out for awhile.

corwins those are great cards. I will be praying for your friend that all goes well tomorrow.

You might want to encourage your friend to check with a second doctor if they decide they have to do something that will cause the loss of his sight in that eye. My grandpa had that same type of cancer and ignored it for a very long time. It spread out like tentacles and wrapped itself all around his cheek bone, eye, eye socket etc. He did have to end up having pretty extensive surgery, and his face sort of drooped on the side that was on, but he was able to keep his eye sight in spite of how much it had encroached on his eye. He went to the James Cancer Clinic in Columbus Ohio which was several hours from home, but they were the ones who thought they could save his sight.
