Paper Bead Swap SIGN UPS ARE NOW CLOSED

Paper Bead Swap SIGN UPS ARE NOW CLOSED

Postby Suzan » February 17th, 2012, 2:29 pm

Good Morning everyone. I hope everyone is having a super Friday, I know it is the start of a 3 day weekend for some of you lucky people.
Dana and I are going to co-host a paper bead swap. What will be so great about this challenge is that most of us haven't done them yet. But honestly once you see the tutorials and videos it will be a breeze.

Dana and I decided for this swap no themes, but we are asking that you send 2 beads for each person that signs up. That way if someone wanted to make earrings they would have two that match. You will send them loose but finished (varnished, utee, or sealer of some sort). Each set of beads needs to be attached to a card or bagged separately so that everyone knows who sent which beads. And just make sure you send a card with each set with your information on it, so everyone knows what is sent. Sign ups are until Sunday night Feb 26th, And we need you to mail your beads by Friday March 16th. Dana and I will post lots more information. And tutorials and videos on how to do this. And remember this is going to be super fun and the more the merrier.

Well what is so great about this swap is none of us have done it. The beads you posted look as good as anyone elses. And you don't have to mail them for a month. So think on it and let me know.

I just watched the video on you tube and it looks easy peasy. Sign me up. Is everyone using scrapbook paper? This would hellp me get rid of some paper I dont think I will ever use. :-) The lady I watched used white paper and sharpies.

Okay, I think I'm going to TRY and do this... I was just at Michaels, and got the little hot pot thingy that you can melt UTEE in.. (or glue or wax, or anything else that melts) using a 50% off coupon.. so this would be a great way to test it out... LOL And I have so much paper that I have no idea what I'm going to do with it all, it may be a great way to start using it.

How many beads do we have to make, and do they all have to be the same, or can we use different papers???

You can make different beads, but make 2 of each kind, that way if someone makes earrings that have 2 that match.

Be creative and have a ton of fun. I am going to Home Depot tomorrow to get the do hickey for the whatchamacallit.
Use all the different papers you want. And thank you for Joining
