Linda

HI Everyone,

I have been Absent without Leave from the forum, as my mother has been very ill and I have been responsible for her care. She is finally on the mend and does not need my loving attentions as much as she did, sooooo.....

I would like to propose an ATC Swap. Z has done these on the MTC forum and I participated in one and loved it. I would love for us to do these here, as I love ATCs. I am proposing one for September for the month of October with a Fall/Halloween theme. You can do either topic! I pleade guilty to bias for the theme as this is my favorite time of the year LOL. But, am open to other theme if others would prefer something else.

I am willing to act as coordinator, unless Z or someone else wants to provide this service. Cards should be completed and mailed to the coordinator by the 20th of September, so that they can be grouped and mailed to participants.

ATC Card participant's envelope should contain appropriate number of cards for each participate to receive one depending on number of participants and whether there are several groups (If participants are broken into multiple groups, 12 participants will be assigned to each group unless we have less than 24 participants). A self-addressed return padded envelope with same amount of postage as 1st envelope and an extra 25 cents. Change if any will be returned to each participant.

Private Message coordinator with name and email contact addie so list can be compiled and posted here with your name only. List of names will be available no later than September 1st on this message, so that everyone knows how many are needed or if groups have been assigned.

I hope this does not step on anyones toes, I just love to make these cute little cards. If anyone else has any other thoughts or ideas, please just let me know or please, please make any suggestion you would like.

Or, if this isn't appropriate please advise me also, and moderators feel free to remove this message.

Could everyone help this be "bumped to the top" I have no idea how things get penned to the top.

Thanks Linda Vanorio

Penny,
I just looked at all your ATC's and all I can say is WOW!!!

I have never joined in a swap, mainly because I never know how much time I would have to participate, and I wouldn't want to hold up things because I didn't have time to complete my share. I have a hard enough time making ONE of something, let alone 12!! But I think making ATC sized projects would be a great way to "play". You can try out new techniques. Try new supplies, that you just HAD to have but now, don't know how to use or what to do with them. And you won't be using a lot of supplies, and if it doesn't turn out... well, you didn't waste much. I was also thinking, if you were "playing" with ATC sized projects, you could always put one on the front of card, for when you needed a "real sized" card for something.
I can't wait to see what all the participants in this swap create... I'm sure they will all be amazing!!!

1. Can they have 3D type items on them? ie: flowers like Penny's had in her examples.
2. Do they need to be reinforced with some type of stiff board? ie: cereal type board or chipboard?
3 - Can they be shaped cards? Ie: 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 size but in a shape?

Thanks and I would like to sign up also.

Retta Thanks for joining us!!

3D is great, just a thought some people like to put them into protector sleeves. But you should create what you desire
no larger than 2.5w x 3.5h but shaped is fine
I always back mine with another piece of cardstock.
And I didn't mention to everyone, a label on the back with Name, Date, Swap and I mark mine 1 of how everymany there are.

It always amazes me the creativity that can be put into 2.5 x 3.5 inches.
